  • Zines are self-published works that have a long history of platforming marginalised voices to reclaim narratives, challenge dominant ideologies, and foster community. Dive into the world of self-publishing and grassroots activism by joining us for this hands on zine-making workshop. Zines are free from the conventions and expectations of traditional art and media - so anyone can make them!

Samar has been making zines and running zine workshops for the past decade! In 2016, she founded Dardishi, a zine and festival platforming Arab and North African women and gender minorities. She was also a founding team member of Glasgow Zine Library, helping to open the library in 2018 and serving as the Library’s programmer for two years.
