  • Ica Headlam, Director and Founder of We Are Here Scotland:

"I'm pleased that We Are Here Scotland and Luminate are working together on these networking events that I hope will allow us to explore new and dynamic ways that our community can use art and creativity to engage with older communities. It's important that we take steps towards intergenerational connections that can lead us to meaningful conversations and positive outcomes for all involved."

    Anne Gallacher, Director of Luminate:

"I am delighted to be collaborating with the team at We Are Here Scotland. The population in Scotland is ageing, and at Luminate we believe it's important that people from all backgrounds have the opportunity to take part in creative activities as we all get older. A vital strand of our work involves supporting artists to collaborate with older people, and we hope these events will enable Luminate to learn from the experience of Black and Global Majority Artists, and to share our own experience of creative ageing programmes; we are excited to discover where these conversations will lead."
